Encounter-a-Day

Fair warning: I get rambly here. I recommend just ignoring this post.

The big news (for me, at least) is that a milestone of sorts is rapidly approaching. Monday should be my 50th post! This is especially great, because it also means I’ve made 50 posts without missing a single day, which is very important to me. One of my goals in starting this blog was discipline.

I say should be because it’s not immediately obvious how many posts I’ve made… According to WordPress, I’ve written 58 posts (well, 59 counting this one), of which 9 (10 counting this one) are in the “Site Stuff” category… i.e. my Random Encounters posts, apologies and explanations for technical hiccups, etc.

That seems to be backed up by the fact that my first post was on Tuesday, November 27th (coincidentally my birthday… so yes, this blog was a pseudo-birthday present to myself). Monday will be 10 weeks later, 5 posts a week means 50 posts.

So all signs point to yes, Monday is indeed my 50th post. Why am I overthinking it so much? Because that’s what I do. I always overthink everything, am paranoid that I’m missing something or forgetting something, etc.

Anyways, there actually IS one minor hitch in this whole streak of 50 posts thing… I haven’t actually written lucky number 50 yet.

That’s a project for tomorrow, I s’pose.
