Just wanted to point out an awesome product by Goodman Games, called GM Gems. I don’t intend to do any reviews, but I couldn’t not mention this book… It’s like they took my idea for this website and turned it into book form! It’s 64 pages of system-neutral encounters, adventure hooks, descriptions, tables, and just all kinds of awesome crap.

One minor quibble. I’ve been flipping through and there is one portion called “Shake ‘n’ Bake” monsters which seems targetted at D&D. Basically, you roll a d20 on a table of mini templates which you can quickly apply to monsters on the fly to make them different. The abilities all seem like they’d be simple enough to adapt to any system, though.
