Apology

I just wanted to offer a more proper apology for the lack of posts yesterday or today (and, likely, tomorrow).

I don’t have an excuse. Sure, I’ve got homework and responsibilities, but I’ve still got ample free time.

I’m going to continue posting encounters as they come to me, and I’d certainly like to continue the new encounter every day thing, but I can’t guarantee that anymore. I’ve lost the drive. Hopefully I’ll find it again soon.

Thanks for your support and patience, everyone.

  1. No worries, we all hit the creative wall from time to time. I’m sure the drive will come back in time.

  2. Thanks for the kind words. :)

  3. I look forward to future posts. I’ve enjoyed the quality thus far, and I would hate to see burnout ruin that.

  4. Thanks. I think I may end up going to a lighter schedule, like Monday-Wednesday-Friday or something.

  5. Why not get a few guest encounters. That way if you just don’t ffel like posting sometimes, post one of the guest encounters. I have a few you might like to post.

  6. There’s a few different reasons I’m hesitant to do that… One of the big ones is that I don’t want to be in a position to have to reject anyone. I don’t consider myself a great writer, but I’d feel pretty bad if I had to tell someone that their idea wasn’t good enough. If someone submits something, I’ve either got to accept or reject it, and even if it’s only one out of a thousand it would still suck to reject someone.

  7. What I suggest, then, is that you set up a “guest submissions” email address, and tell people that you’re super busy so you might not ever post them, but that you’d keep them in mind. That way, if they suck, they’re not expecting to see them added. If the don’t suck, though, you can use them.
