So something funny happened…
My post on blood elves was picked up by www.worldofwarcraft-news.com! Yes, www.worldofwarcraft-news.com!
Actually, the “-news” was a little annoying, because for a few moments when I looked at that link my eyes refused to recognize it, and I actually thought that not only did someone at Blizzard read my blog, they’d linked to it from the actual WoW site.
The truth, of course, is much less cool. It appears that this blog just aggregates all content from any blog that’s tagged as world of warcraft. It’s slightly annoying, to be honest, but ultimately I’m okay with it because 1: they are actually serving a purpose, if a questionable one, by culling such content and 2: they give credit to the actual site and don’t try to steal credit for it.
On the topic of WoW (and here’s the part where you should probably stop reading, since this isn’t going to be remotely interesting to anyone…), I finally made some progress on my 70 BE Paladin towards being ready to tank Karazhan. Finally finished grinding honor for the Merciless Gladiator’s Gavel, tinkered up the tanktatronic goggles (I’d previously made a different pair of epic engineering goggles… shame), and bought a few hundred gold worth of rares and gems from the AH. Yay!
On a more interesting note, if you loved the old game Bangai-O for the Dreamcast or N64, you owe it to yourself to pick up Bangai-O Spirits for the DS. It manages to stay faithful to the original in both tone and gameplay, while still innovating some new stuff. The game now basically consists of bite-sized levels that, ideally, should take a minute or less to finish. It’s also cool because it’s an uncompromising game… There are some really, really tough levels in there that’ll frustrate the heck outta ya. It’s a good frustration, though, because you don’t have to complete any level to get access to any others, so you can always skip the ones you’re having trouble with to come back to later.
I’m finding the lack of landscape-format binders quite annoying… Whoda thunk something like that would be so hard to procure? What I might end up doing for my monsters is just sticking them loose-leaf in a folder or folio, alphabetized of course.
