Monster Maker standalone and some bad news

Well, some good news and some bad news.

The good news, I’ve had a few requests for a standalone version of Monster Maker and it’s now available. I’ve also posted a zip file with the font in it for people who use the installer version.

The bad news, I’ve decided to officially cease updating the monster and treasure databases used by the various scripts on my website, at least with respect to Dungeon and Dragon magazines. Sorry for the inconvenience

  1. Ah man. You are able to keep the srd based content in there though?

  2. Everything already there will remain there.

  3. That’s a bummer, but I can understand, they just keep putting out more and more stuff, and combing through every update for the info must be a pain. Thanks for all your work.

  4. Honestly, the thing that most annoys me is double checking to make sure that things aren’t already in my database. Some Dungeon adventures will have a “New Monsters” section at the end of them, but those are never, ever exhaustive lists of all the new monsters in the adventure.

  5. what is this game and can i get it on a mac

  6. Dungeons & Dragons is a tabletop roleplaying game. You can learn more about it at wikipedia

  8. Hey, I really appreciate all the hard work you’ve done and I really love your utilities. I’m sorry to see this great feature go away, it was much easier to use and had better features than compendium in my experience. And I hate to ask, does anyone know of an alternative that is being updated? I would even go for an excel spreadsheet. ;p
