Steal This Setting: Zendikar
The latest set for Magic: The Gathering looks like it was tailor-made for 4th edition’s Points of Light philosophy. Zendikar is a magically-infused plane where there are no advanced civilizations and indeed even large cities are extremely rare, as they literally get ripped apart by the changing landscape.
There’s a great post on the Magic website detailing the setting’s theme, regions and inhabitants in great detail.

The downside is if you want to have some stuff go down in a city.
I sometimes think people take the PoL a little too far, to the point where it’s like there’s only about 5,000 human/demi-humans and they all live in isolation with leagues between them.
You say that like it’s a bad thing.
It certainly seems like an intriguing setting to me. And yes, perfect for PoL.
YES! I have been making races for a zendikar campaign (with a crappy Kor race choice), and will DEFINETELY use the Guul Draz vampires you created!
I heard that you (or someone) had created a Savage Worlds conversion for Zendikar (Savage Zendikar). Any interest in making that publicly available for the community?
[...] MightyWok requested that I post my rules from a Savage Worlds game I ran on Google Wave set in Zendikar, so here they are. [...]
