Monster Maker 3.5

I’m very proud to announce Monster Maker 3.5! There are a lot of great new features like auto-update, file association, an XML file type, and the ability to import monsters from the D&D Insider Compendium!

Ensemble

I’ve just released Ensemble, which helps inspire you to create PCs and NPCs by randomly generating class, race and backgrounds.

RPG Blog Anthology

Jonathan at The Core Mechanic (and quite a few others) has been working very hard on an anthology of RPG blogs, collecting posts from some of the biggest ones out there and some of the smaller and more obscure ones as well. I’m quite proud to say that I’ve got a couple bits in the [...]

Back up

Hey everyone,
Just want to apologize for the downtime on this blog and asmor.com earlier today. There was a problem with one of my web host’s server clusters which knocked out a lot of sites, mine included.

Thank you all for your generosity!

Thank you all so much for your generosity! With your help, I was able to raise over $90, and my remaining balance is less than $30 which I can take care of. So that means my site will stay up for another year with no interruption in service. Hooray! Also, as I promised, I’ve removed [...]

4e Software

One thing I get asked for a lot is a power creator. Previously, I’ve said that it’s on my agenda, but I just don’t have time.

Via EN World, Play-Write is a blog written by a guy named Logan Booker [...]

Requesting Donations

I’m not quite dead…

Just wanted to let everyone know that I haven’t abandoned the blog or my software or anything. Just caught up in school and general life stuff.
So sorry. I’m actually working on something for my own use right now that I think is pretty cool, and if it works out well enough I’ll probably post it [...]

Software updates

I’ve finished updating 4 of my D&D 4e web applications with a slightly modified GUI, which will hopefully be more useful.
The affected applications are:

Monster Lister
Quartermaster, the random treasure generator
Random Encounter Generator
Treasure Trove

A couple of them (most notably Treasure Trove) had the GUI messed with a bit so that it should stay more consistent regardless of [...]

Quartermaster updated

I’ve updated Quartermaster– my D&D 4e random treasure generator– with a feature I’ve had a few requests for… you can now reroll individual parcels.
This also marks the first time I’ve ever used that “cutting-edge” (note the sarcasm) AJAX thing, though I cheated since I’m using jquery… and it’s really more like AJ since it’s not [...]
